The Galileo “Global Education Revolution” Award

The Galileo “Global Education Revolution” Award recognizes organizations for driving a global education revolution. This organization distinguishes itself by offering its employees innovative learning programs that drive and support the learning culture of the entire organization from the bottom-up and top-down. This is the first time The LLPA will launch this award through the C3 Global Cloud Skills Tour event as the top-rated skills-focused event designed for C-level executives.

To be considered for the award, all companies must fill out an online application available through our website during the application window.

1. General organization, training, and certification data will be asked, for example: provide the number of employees trained in 2021.

2. Give a brief overview of your initiative, its objectives, and why you decided to undertake it. (Max. 400 words)

3. Describe how your initiative is aligned to your organization’s digital transformation goals: (Max. 1000 words)
• How the initiative uses a variety or combination of learning tools/activities to achieve outcomes
• The theory of change for the initiative (making clear how the initiative intends to drive real business outcomes using the selected tools/activities)
• The ambition, ingenuity and/or effort of the initiative
• How collaboration was used to drive outcomes
• Any challenges associated with the initiative and how these were overcome

4. The results achieved in the initiative to date, including evaluation of its success against the objectives; any adjustments or plans going forward; any insights learned from this project that can be applied more broadly? (Max. 400 words)

What is the purpose of this video?

We want to give you the opportunity to share and celebrate your initiative with us. We want to know why you consider yourself a global education revolution organization. Tell us how you have developed a learning culture. The facts are in the written submission but the story lies in the video submission.

Will this video be public?

All video submissions will be reviewed by the panel of Judges. The winning organization’s 3–5-minute video will be streamed during the award announcement at the C3 Global Cloud Skills v-Tour event.

Things to consider:

• Make sure to start by introducing yourself – include your name, title and organization name.
• When you record your video, make sure you have good, even lighting in front of you so we can clearly see your face, keep your camera at eye level (you don’t want to be looking up or down), use an external microphone if you have one, and turn off anything wherever you’re recording that could be creating additional noise like your cell phone, radios, fans, etc.
• Keep your background clutter-free.
• Keep videos to a maximum of 5 minutes in length. We do however recommend keeping your recordings at a maximum of 3 minutes. Try to focus on the highlights and key outcomes.
• Submissions can be performed in the native language but we ask that you include English subtitles.

Impact (20 points available):

• Does the initiative clearly support the development of people to improve or positively influence the digital transformation journey of the organization? How sustainable is the learning program implemented, does it facilitate a deep learning culture within the organization and encourage active learning (20)

Objectives (15 points available):

• Does the initiative evidence genuine commitment to the achievement of outcomes (vs display of outcomes), e.g., a use of a variety of learning and development tools/activities and clear skills support and validation pathway provided if early-stage milestones are not achieved? (15)

Collaboration (15 points available):

• How was collaboration used to amplify the ambition, effectiveness, or results? (10)
• Were affected groups or other non-investor stakeholders active and empowered participants in the initiative? (5)

Highest possible total score: 50 points

There is no cost to apply for The Galileo “Global Education Revolution” Award. Our award is purely merit-based.

Applications open in March. Applications will close at 11:59 PM CET on the 5th of April 2022. Any application received after the deadline cannot be guaranteed consideration for the award.

To fairly and fully evaluate and compare all applications, we recommend that each application answer all questions about their companies to the best of their knowledge and abilities. Leaving questions blank will hinder our ability to compare your company amongst other applicants. We may consider an application incomplete if all necessary information is not provided.

We take companies’ privacy very seriously. Each application is kept strictly confidential and reviewed internally by the LLPA. The detailed information provided on applications is never shared publicly or with third parties. If selected for The Galileo “Global Education Revolution” Award, your organization will be included or spotlighted at the C3 Global Cloud Skills event. The LLPA may use a portion of your application data to create a profile for your organization.

The application is open for approximately 4 weeks and will close on the deadline posted on the schedule. At this point, scoring will begin. If there is an issue where your company cannot submit the application by the deadline, email c3events@thellpa.com immediately to inquire about the feasibility of post-deadline submission. Any application received after the deadline cannot be guaranteed consideration for the awards.
