Kåre Nygård

Head of Digital Consulting Norway

TietoEVRY

His biggest passion is to help develop other people’s careers. In his current role, he has the opportunity to influence 1000+ people’s careers, directly and indirectly, a responsibility he takes very seriously. At TietoEVRY, we have a very positive culture that values trust, diversity, respect, and inclusion, all more important than ever in today’s world. Combining our unique culture with the variety of challenging projects we perform with our customers and a dedicated focus on continuous learning are the main reasons we attract so many bright people who want to work with us.

Working in a company with 24.000 people may seem overwhelming, but what Kåre tells people in his team is that it is actually easier to tailor career pathways for highly competent consultants because we have so many challenging work assignments to choose from. A common denominator for everyone working in TietoEVRY is the fact that we impact our society in many ways. Hence our consultants often get a sense of bigger purpose whilst working in teams alongside so many bright and highly competent colleagues and applying the most innovative technology and solutions.

Creating digital advantage for businesses and society is at the heart of TietoEVRY’s vision. We are the backbone of the Nordic society, transforming businesses with expertise, technology, and data, to harness the biggest opportunities of our time. “My job is about helping our customers navigate with confidence and succeed with their own digital journey,” says Nygård. To succeed, his #1 task is to attract and continuously develop the best consultants in the market and match them in teams to address the most important challenges TietoEVRY customers are facing.

Headquartered in Finland, TietoEVRY employs around 24 000 experts globally. The company serves thousands of enterprise and public sector customers in more than 90 countries.

Prior to joining TietoEVRY, Kåre served as Managing Director for SAS Institute Norway and as Regional Sales Director for SAS’s Nordic Healthcare and Government business. Other companies worked for include IBM, PwC, Sopra Steria (former Bull Worldwide Information Systems).
